General Information

How do I book a group visit to the park?

We encourage you to visit the Group Sales Ticket section of this website to learn more about our programs. Feel free to submit a Group Sales Information request or call us at 231.766.9959.

Security Procedures

The safety of our guests and associates is our number one priority, and we have implemented several enhanced security procedures at the front gate. As part of the process:

Guests arriving at the park will go through metal detection every public operating day.
All bags, purses, backpacks, waist packs, etc. will be examined prior to entering.
Sharp objects (including pocket knives and metal chains), firearms, or other items that could be considered a weapon are strictly prohibited and should be left at home or secured in your vehicle.
Please see our separate FAQ on outside food and beverages.
We use a variety of methods in securing our parks including uniformed security personnel and video surveillance monitoring.

Michigan’s Adventure does not tolerate guests who fight and/or harass other guests while on our property. People who engage in this behavior are subject to being ejected and potentially banned from the park, and may be subject to arrest by local police.

Drone Policy

All drones (Unmanned Aerial Systems) are prohibited at (in) all Enchanted Parks, including Michigan’s Adventure, and any unauthorized drone(s) observed over Michigan’s Adventure will be reported to the FAA and local law enforcement, regardless of its point of origin or operation. Drones may pose a potential safety risk and may violate Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.

Smoking Policy

For the convenience of all our guests, smoking of any kind, including vapor and e-cigarettes, is only permitted in the parking lot. Smoking is not permitted inside Michigan’s Adventure. Thank you for your cooperation.

Hand-Held Infants

Hand-held infants are restricted from most rides. Hand-held infants may be taken on the chariots of the Carousel and the Timbertown Railway. In the waterpark, hand-held infants may be held by a supervising companion in the wave pools and the Lazy River (must also wear an infant life jacket), the Lagoon, and in Half-Pint Paradise.

Camera Policy

While cameras are welcome in the park, photography and videography of any kind is strictly prohibited on most attractions, including all roller coasters.

Re-Entry Policy

Guests who re-enter the park will need to go through security screening upon re-entering. When leaving the park, please get a re-entry receipt from an associate at the exit gate. Used tickets are not valid for re-entry.

Please note that we do not validate parking passes; there is a fee to re-enter the parking lot if you leave it.

Inclement Weather Policy

The safety and security of our guests and associates is Michigan’s Adventure’s top priority.

While we work hard to provide the best experience possible, some attractions may not always be operational due to severe or inclement weather. During these times Michigan’s Adventure invites guests to visit indoor attractions, retail locations, or restaurants. Guests can find the latest information on attraction and park closures, and other impacts from severe or inclement weather on our website, as well as on Michigan’s Adventure’s social media accounts.

Some open-air events and dining offerings may be rescheduled or canceled in the event of severe or inclement weather. WildWater Adventure, our special events and experiences, and our attractions are also subject to rehabilitation, seasonal and weather closures.

Air temperature may impact the operation of rides and attractions.

Rain checks or refunds are not available.

Outside Food & Beverage

Outside food, beverages or coolers are not allowed in the park. Special medical diet/need items may be kept in a small personal-sized or lunchbox-sized cooler, which must be tagged at the Group Sales Office at the entrance to the park. Grilling/alcoholic beverages are not allowed anywhere at the Park, including the parking lot.

Pet Policy

Michigan’s Adventure does not have a kennel, and pets are not allowed inside the park. We strongly suggest that guests do not bring pets to the park for any reason. Pets should never be left in a parked vehicle.

Rider Swap Program

Guests with small children who do not meet the requirements of height restricted rides may obtain a Rider Swap pass at the Group Sales Office or Guest Services.

Lockers

There are lockers at the front entrance as well as at the entrance to the waterpark. If you plan to use the waterpark attractions, you should rent a locker at the waterpark as shirts, shorts and shoes are required in the amusement park at all times. Locker rentals allow unlimited use during the day.

Dress Code

Shirts, shoes and shorts/pants are required in the amusement park at all times. To maintain the family atmosphere at Michigan’s Adventure, a dress code is enforced.

Please do not wear clothing that is generally considered offensive (profanity, suggestive pictures, thong swimwear, etc.). We will ask you to remove the offensive garment and replace it with something more appropriate. Guests are prohibited from wearing anything which conceals the guest’s true identity.

Within WildWater Adventure, clean and appropriate swimwear is required. Pants, denim, thongs, or transparent clothing are not permitted. We reserve the right to determine the appropriateness of swimwear.

Are all rides operational at the park?

Due to maintenance and other circumstances, certain rides and attractions may not be available during your visit.
